Michael represents managed care plans and insurers in provider disputes, contract disputes, ERISA and bad-faith actions, administrative hearings, government investigations, and matters involving managed care laws and regulations. His healthcare experience includes the Knox-Keene Act, California Insurance Code, ERISA, FEHBA, HIPAA, Medicare Act, and No Surprises Act.
Before founding the firm, Michael practiced in the Los Angeles office of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP. He earned his J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where he served as chief managing editor of the UCLA Entertainment Law Review.
